Chap Construction is proud to serve as a Diamond Sponsor for the 10th Annual Marty Aronow Charity Golf Classic.

The event tees off Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at LBI National Golf & Resort in Little Egg Harbor Township. [Directions] Every dollar raised supports CAREing for Children, a program that has helped local families since the late 1980s.

For a family business built in Ocean County since 1972, this sponsorship is personal. Chap Construction has spent decades building homes and relationships across the Jersey Shore. Standing behind CAREing for Children is one more way to invest in the community that built us.

A Program With Deep Roots in Ocean County

CAREing for Children began as a simple holiday toy collection organized by members of the Ocean County Business Association. What started small grew into a year-round mission. Today the program delivers food, clothing, school supplies, and holiday gifts to dozens of Ocean County families each year.

For decades, longtime OCBA member Clare Bojus led the effort with tireless dedication. Her passing in 2022, following the earlier loss of fellow organizer Michael Reilly, left a real gap in the program’s leadership. The team pushed forward anyway, continuing deliveries even through pandemic disruptions.

Fundraising Through Golf

To keep the mission funded, OCBA created the Marty Aronow Memorial Golf Outing. The event honors a respected past OCBA president and has become the program’s primary fundraiser. Roughly 90 percent of CFC’s annual donations come from this single day on the course, which makes every sponsorship and every registration count.

Barbara Farley Carries the Mission Forward

Today, Barbara Farley of Chap Construction leads CAREing for Children as program director. She stepped into the role determined to honor Clare’s legacy while guiding the program through its next chapter. Barbara keeps fundraising efforts on schedule and keeps the mission visible across Ocean County’s business community.

She works alongside a small group of dedicated volunteers, including representatives from SERVPRO of Toms River and Atlantic Printing & Design. Together with a committee of OCBA members, this team stretches every donated dollar to reach more children each year.

Chap Construction is proud that Barbara’s leadership reflects the same values our company was built on. Community, reliability, and follow-through matter here, on and off the jobsite.
