We all have so many things going on in our lives right now. Some are wondering where their next meal is coming from, how they are going to pay their bills or have lost a loved one. Some are worried about their children and the effects all of this is having on them mentally, missing their classes, friends, teachers, proms, graduations, sporting and social events. Have we done enough to help them and to help ourselves?
It’s important to keep in mind that when you are stressed and react negatively to a situation, that the person you are talking to has their own stuff going on that you know nothing about. It’s not a competition to see who has it the worst. It’s just as simple as being thoughtful and taking a minute to recognize that you have the opportunity to make someone’s day better or worse. I would much rather be the person to make someone smile instead of frown.
Today’s blog is asking everyone to stop and think. Take five minutes and decide if your words and actions are going to make a situation better or worse? What you say about or to someone can have lasting effects on that person. Let’s all do our best so that our lasting effect is a positive one.
I’d like to raise up and say Thank You to the Chap staff. We are not related by blood (not all of us) but we are most certainly a family. Doing everything we can to “fix” someone’s day, create their vision or talk them through important decisions. No better team than Randy, Steve, Les, Eric, Anthony, Jimmy, Shawn, Jordan, Bobby, Drew, Zach, RJ, MJ, Ashley, Alyssa, Kitty, Heather and Chris (we miss you Chris). You are all remarkable!!!
Be KIND and make someone’s day today!
